About the Exhibition

Knox Martin (1923–2022, b. Barranquilla, Columbia) painted Venus in 1970 as a commission from City Walls. The 12-story mural is painted along the south side of Bayview Correctional Facility and depicts geometric shapes and colors diagonally interweaving.
